Terms and conditions

Our terms and conditions will be emailed to your provided email address as part of your order confirmation.

Please see main points immediately below as well as the full terms underneath –
A minimum of 50% deposit is required at time of ordering.
Payment is to be made via bank transfer – details will be on the invoice.
We require a minimum 50% deposit payment of the price for the total order before your order can be processed. Once payment has been received we will confirm that your order has been processed.

In the event that there are any errors regarding price or description, we reserve the right to notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed with this revised order at the correct price/description or to cancel the order. In these circumstances, upon cancellation, your payment method will be refunded in full.

Price And Payment
Prices quoted on the invoice are subject to VAT. Quoted prices do not form part of a legally binding contract until our acceptance of your order.

Non-Payment Of Accounts
The title to the goods shown on this invoice shall remain the property of Josh Burton Flooring Solutions until the full invoice price has been paid. The seller or its agents shall be entitled to enter upon the buyers premises and recover and dispose of the goods and the buyer shall make no claim against the seller in respect of such entry or disposal.

Credit Charge
A credit charge of 10% per month will be charged on all overdue accounts. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Cancellation
If you are ordering a carpet, vinyl or safety flooring these items are classed as a bespoke order item and is cut specifically to your specification therefore once ordered we can not cancel the order and you will still be liable for the cost of the product.
If for some reason you do wish to cancel your order before delivery please let us know as soon as possible. If the goods have not been cut to your size we will cancel your order and refund full payment via bank transfer.

We regret that we cannot accept cancellations once the item has been cut.

Substitute Goods
If the product you order becomes unavailable we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to arrange a full refund or allow you to select a similar product with any difference in price being collected or returned. We do not supply substitute products without your approval.

Shading And Flattening Of Carpets
In common with all pile fabrics, carpets may shade and show pile reversal. This occurs when the pile is brushed or lies in different directions and therefore reflects light differently. The extent to which your carpet will show the effects of shading depends upon its construction, design and use. Carpets will also flatten with time, particularly in high wear areas such as main walkways, stairs and in front of sofas, etc.

Colour And Characteristics
You may find a carpet colour that you like online, please be aware that colours may appear slightly different on screen. During the free measure and quotation service, we will bring samples for you to choose from. The samples may look different to what is seen on a screen.
Dye batches can also vary and therefore it may be possible that your carpet or vinyl does vary slightly from the sample in either colour or texture or both.
If you order material from different widths they will come from different batches and will not match – please ask us for advice if you require different widths for the same or adjoining rooms.

All cut pile carpets are subject to a characteristic called shading and all Berber carpets use random blends of colours, which as a result may give a lined effect. In no way do any of these characteristics affect the wearing properties of the carpet. Carpets may also show pile reversal together with shading. This occurs when the pile is brushed or lies in different directions and therefore reflects light differently. The extent to which your carpet will show the effects of shading depends upon its construction, design and use. Carpets will also flatten with time, particularly in high wear areas such as main walkways, stairs and in front of sofas, etc.

We will obtain best possible colour and/or pattern match between separate pieces when requested, but an exact match cannot be guaranteed.

All carpets benefit from the installation of a quality underlay. Re-using existing underlay may result in abnormal flattening of the pile in heavy use areas.

Fitting Service
Fitting services will be carried out by Josh Burton Flooring Solutions.

The fitting charge will be included in the original invoice and is due on the day of fitting. Payment is by bank transfer only. Other payments methods must be agreed upon beforehand.

Uplift And Disposal
Old carpets must be cleared prior to the new flooring being fitted. Should you need us to uplift and dispose of the old carpets please let us know beforehand as this incurs an additional charge and extra time is needed. We will remove your old flooring, all offcuts and packaging from your new flooring. Even if you have paid for the service, we will only carry out this work if the floorcovering is not soiled and there is no health and safety risk to us in respect of the product being uplifted. If you have decided not to opt for this service, it is your responsibility to uplift your existing flooring prior to our arrival. We will then bag up any offcuts from your new flooring and leave them for you to dispose of. If you would like to keep any offcuts, please advise us upon arrival at your home.

Furniture Removal
Rooms must be cleared of furniture prior to arrival to ensure satisfactory fitting. We understand that some large items of furniture may be difficult to move and can arrange for rooms to be cleared upon request. A charge will be made for this additional service.

Subfloor
Please tell us if your subfloor is not of standard wood or concrete construction, or if pipes/cables are fitted close to the subfloor surface. Josh Burton Flooring Solutions will not accept liability for damage caused, unless special subfloor surfaces or hazards are brought to their attention. Additional charges will be made if the subfloor needs specialist preparation prior to fitting of the chosen flooring.

Doors
Doors may need to be trimmed to allow clearance. A charge will be made for this additional service.

Vacuum
We are able to vacuum the areas after fitting but an additional charge will be made for this and discussed during the initial communications.

Damage And Scuff Marks
Josh Burton Flooring Solutions undertake to carry out their work with reasonable skill and care, but even with the greatest care home décor may be marked or scuffed during the fitting process. New paintwork and wallpaper is especially vulnerable and should be allowed to fully dry. A minimum of two weeks is recommended. Josh Burton Flooring Solutions do not undertake to carry out any redecoration, except where damage has been caused by that person’s negligence.

Fitting Appointment
We will do our best to keep to your fitting appointment, but may be delayed by factors beyond our control. We will not be held liable for expenses or loss of income incurred as a result of missed or late appointments.

All additional services will be detailed on the invoice so you know the level of service you are paying for.

Josh Burton Flooring Solutions and/or our suppliers own the copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this website.
